@HDell1994 Similar here. I think he brings up some really good points in his theology, but sometimes, he either doesn't answer the question or preaches a message that comes a bit too close to legalism. But then again, I'm Missouri Synod Lutheran, and so our doctrine is significantly different from the theology that Conway teaches.

Is Conway trying to say that Christians can't be wealthy?

[........but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Ephesians 4:28] ----- Let him labor,........THAT he may have to GIVE TO HIM THAT NEEDETH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@TheOldschool1979 : If you trust the Lord, He can take you over the edge and you will be fine. You should watch Monica Dennington's video "Is Your Cross Too Pretty?".

Who was Jesus talikg too? Disciples whom it was said," they did not know what He meant when He said I go to be crucified." The Jews were given a cross to follow. Following Christ for the disciples was the cross of forsaking all law which eventually after the resurrection and the council of Acts 15 they began to realize. Dying to the law and themselves was going to be hard especially when they were commanded to accept Gentiles.During the Church age no disciple has been asked to carry the cross

This is way off.....no one has ever given everything up for Jesus, no one has ever repented "enough" of your sins because no one does it perfectly. Not one. It has to be all Gods work to save you or it just doesn't make sense and leads to a mind prison because you can never know if you're saved. Examine yourself to see if you are in the faith and only relying on the savior. If you look at your works and say, hmmm...yea, i been good enough...you're screwed.

Ask The Lord for guidance!! He said ask me for wisdom and I will give it liberally. God is infinite in wisdom, ask him first and he will direct you by his direct word via The Holy Spirit, by the word or by man...either way...go to the Lord and don't stop till you get an answer! Fervent prayers are important.

@MacRyno Also, I noticed that you didn't respond to my question about why there is no extra biblical accounts for the dead people that Matthew mentioned in his gospel. I would imagine that if someone else told you about dead people walking around in their religion you would call it a myth. So, when I ask you a question about why Matthew would make a claim like that and yet no contemporary evidence has been given to support this you say i'm committing spiritual suicide? WOW!!!!
it's not just about denying yourself of luxurious things, TRUST ME...the holy spirit lets me know what I need to let go and it's tough...it's whatever you pleasure yourself with that takes away your attention from God...I'm convicted, I've given up so many things but some are tough to let go...I've asked God to braek me so many times but I now know I just need to do it and ask the Lord for strength. I literally just say DENY YOURSELF, TAKE UP YOUR CROSS when I get extremely tempted.

I really like Tim Conway's teachings. Very legit, upfront and honest, and easy to understand. He doesn't need to be loud, because the Holy Ghost is doing the work!
