My sister brought up a good point that perhaps, instead of Richard being blessed with immortality, maybe he's being punished with it. Maybe having to live forever while being surrounded by idiots and megalomaniacs who are trying to do a job that you could do 10 times better, is Richard's way of atoning for past sins. If he was on the Black Rock, which the show seems to be leaning towards (though that could be one of their famous red herrings) then it seems likely that he wasn't too nice of a person to have been a sailor on a slaver ship.
Also, maybe its just me, but Richard seems awfully sad sometimes. I'm really beginning to like him. I'm a little afraid though, that as soon as I start to like him and root for him, the show going to mess with my mind and make him evil!!
Anyhoo, enjoy the pretty . . . I mean, enjoy the video.
hmm... that's good x) richard is the best character in lost... i love him xD

Richard is my favourite character...he'd better end up on the good side! Interesting thought, about his immortality being a curse. And he doesn't look sad sometimes...it's almost all the time. The way he looks at people is deep and wise...he obviously knows a LOT.

Huh, I'd never realize how often Richard is held at gunpoint. Poor guy. ;)
Great job on the video, I've been looking for something along this line for ages.

Nice video! Richard = love. He's one of my favorite characters. Interesting theory, too...I've always thought living forever would be a curse, but now I'm wondering if the Lost writers actually intend Richard's immortality that way. Anyway, cool idea.
