Maestrina Da Favela Trailer

A trailer for a full featured film documenting the life of 16 year old Elisete "Elem" Silva in a favela community in Bahia, Brazil. At the tender age of 8 in 2003, Elem created a band for kids in her community to steer them away from a life of violence, poverty and drugs. The film follows her as she becomes a young lady from 2007 until 2011. The documentary is scheduled to be completed in June 2011.

Parabéns, bellissima iniciativa, bellissima coragem. Nao podemos perder a esperança nos nossos jovens.Os problema de uma parcela da popolução é um problema de TODA a nação. Minha tese sera sobre a criminalidade infantil no Brasil, infelizmente sobre o assunto encontro material de sobra, sobre iniciativas como a da Jovem e Brilhante Elen, ainda sao poucas, mas nao menos importantissimas.
