This was a proof of concept test that was done merely to see if it was possible to create something dirt cheap with solid functionality.
Notes:
* the wood will rot. eventually this thing WILL fall apart.
* this is NOT kid safe. sharp metal corners, it's a parent nightmare
* this is barely adult safe. I want braces for this. I get the impression that I will knock these things over.
* while it passed the "load test", it still has to pass the "user" test (i.e. while doing a backsquat, shoulder press, front squat, whatever)
* seriously, it was around $16 for the whole thing.
