I tested my mum and dad with your workout, and asked them what was strange about the video. My mum couldn't find a thing wrong, and my dad said "there's something about his arm." And watched it over and over to find a fault. When I told them you were born a woman they were shocked, and mum commented that you are a hunk.

look like you should be haning at a biker bar not at a gym.
yes you can start with half the weight just make it light enough to get your muscles warm before you start getting into heavy. The point is to warm them up.

for starting out what weight do you think i should have my dumbbells?

Always start with a small weight to warm up. Then make sure you use a weight that you keep your form correct through the exercise that is the most important. Not how much weight you can lift.
