well, my parents are from central Africa and they sound similar to that. also, i was taught the different African accents and this is how south Africans sound. i dont know how she sounded american or british, but that is how they sound.

We run into the same thing here in America.
I moved from Oklahoma to New York and I have a bit of a southern drawl. In New York a lot of people talk to you like you're stupid.
