@apfband That is the biggest crap I've ever heard 1 its not Java, its Javascript 2 A Programming Language is only as useful as the functionality it offers. I've tried writing programmes for both systems and even though Apple's IDE is way better, its still easier to create applications using the Mojo SDK and Eclipse. I mean, sure, on the graphical side of things a language without an abstraction layer is better, but I can live without games on every platform I own. *And* Javascript is extendable.

Java is a real language, plus using web standard applications means massive portability.
-
it's not a real application language, it's what people sue to build webpages. It's really simple and limited. And it's got a 5!
-
But Apple's much better. HTML5? Are you kidding me? CSS? Java? At least iPhone's written in a REAL language.

@Lucarioiscool765 I don't have an iPhone. But I do have an iPod Touch. And about ten billion Palm devices. Possibly I'm a touch hypocritical...

You may wanna wipe the brown off after pulling out of Apple's ass...
(Btw I own an HTC Magic and have never owned a Palm. I also have an iPod as well)

I actually dislike the iPhone. I own dozens of Palm devices and am eagerly awaiting the release of the Pre in the UK. In these videos, my tongue is firmly in my cheek.

so what's wrong with html5..?

Nothing. I'm just being facetious. I'm playing with the emulator at the moment and have a couple of applications on hand and they are indeed programmed with just Javascript, CSS and HTML5. And they're nice.
