Tony Williams Lifetime - Emergency! (1969)

Tony Williams - drums
John McLaughlin - guitar
Larry Young - organ

Fantastic mix of jazzrock with San Francisco flavour. Strong echoes of psychodelia and superb improvizations. The main theme of "Where" will be used in a future for "Flame-Sky" from Carlos Santana's "Welcome" LP.

  • awesome

  • @oskarveliky More of a "good-lyric-liker person," I'd say.

  • @kwakky You must be a very small person.

  • @TiqueO6 It's a really terrible lyric.

  • it's a natural high...just listen!

    and I just have to quote;

    "everything is said in the bed, and it doesn't change just 'cause you're wed"

    (or perhaps as some heard it back then - ..."and it doesn't change just 'cause you're weird).

  • amazing, the best 12 minutes of my life, this totally blew my mind, incredible, what 3 guys in a studio can create... Tony is the way, i love his drumming is eargasmic. it was awesome! i love this, thanks for uploading, couldn't help smoking a j' while watching/listening, such a trip! Peace & JAZZ!
