This was the #1 song the week I was born. I've always liked it... hmm might have something to do with my Mom listening to the radio when she was still carrying me ;)

I love her!

How many babies were made to this song, especially in the era where only white artists were still played on many stations?

I'm Sorry (Single Version) - Brenda Lee [Lithonia, Georgia] - No.01 for 3 weeks on 6/6/1960. 18 weeks Top 40 - "Gold hit. AMG pick. Though it might seem a little dated to some modern ears, it deserves its acclaims, since it is among the finest teen pop songs of its era. She was just 15 with this song." - Anthology 1956-1980 (MCA Disc 1)-1991.
NOTE: I'm giving this 2CD compilation of hers a 3.8 star rating (#stars/#tracks).
This is one of the BEST compilations you can get to cover her career.
Only one comment? Never noticed that before. This is a beautiful song, full of feeling and emotion, and such sympethetic resonance with those that feel they are, or have been, in the state or place that Brenda is singing about. It hurts, and makes me cry, but it's still beautiful. That's what music is supposed to do- make you feel.

She was only fifteen and yet sang with such a passion. Absolutely brilliant!
