Play the game here: http://www.mojang.com/notch/ld12/breaking/

This is a timelapse of me writing Breaking the Tower, a game for the Ludum Dare competiton. See http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/

The entire game was written from scratch within 48 hours, of which I spent about 22 hours writing the game, and the rest either sleeping or celebrating my sister's birthday.

  • @thats0mama0luigi there's a hint at the bottom that says "what's the tower made of"

  • notch working in slow-mo

  • really enjoying this game hahaha

  • @007speedcuber apologies. You could decompile the applet if you ripped it straight from the website ;). PM me if you need any help etc.

  • and one more thing : You are the Java God!

  • :DDD

  • Hey Notch! Make a video that have this title: Making Minecraft

  • @javajames97 I didn´t say i wanted to develop a game right away. And also, he uploaded the source code for bunny press (see one of his early videoes on this channel), so why wouldn't he do it for breaking the tower (this game)? I just wanted to check out the code for myself. AND other people would also like that(Maybe). I'm sure.

  • @007speedcuber dude first get some basic understanding of coding concepts, notch has been coding for a long time, he knows of so many advanced techniques, you probably want to start by actually learning to code, then possibly downloading, decompiling and deobfuscating one of his more popular games, like minecraft. But you cant just jump straight into game developing. I imagine notch has a heck of a lot of programming experience.
