Here is a quick write up on how to remove the engine cover on a Porsche Boxster S 986 and replace the Air Filter on a Porsche Boxster S 986. It's not perfect but will give you a good general idea.

  • Is that big foam piece at 2:50 just soundproofing? can you leave that out or is it necessary for everything to snap together and the convertible to reconnect?

  • @blues3531 I''m sure it is just for sound proofing and looks. It is not needed for the other parts to bolt down.

  • How do you put the top in 'service mode'?

    I'm picking up my 03 Boxster S tomorrow. Can't wait till I do some of the work on it myself

  • @saeidmomtahan You have to put the top so its about ten inches from closing as seen in the video and then you pull up on the back half, so it folds up. The rest is in the video...
