Me on the disused, funicular cableway chain-link safety net.

This safety net was put up to protect the houses and the road below against falling ore from the cableway bins and the falling of the cableway bins themselves. The net is made of chain-link wire mesh, tied on four 1 inch thick steel cables above the valley. It's a beautifull view from up there especially the view of Hunedoara or Corvin's castle. The road was about 30 meters or more below me. This net is situated near Corvin's castle over the Zlaşti river valley. About the cableway: this cableway was made to transport iron ore from the ore proccessing facility at Teliucu Inferior to the Hunedoara's steel mills. The entire cableway was 3 Km long, was shut down in 1999 than scrapped in 2003-2004. But they couldn't scrap this net because of the houses below, and the costs of scrapping was higher than the value of the scrap recovered.

Plasa ar ţine încă celpuţin 3T, şi nu am călcat pe plasa în sine ci pe cablurile principale şi profilele de susţinere.
