Angel Desai - Another Hundred People - Company revival

Angel Desai sings "Another Hundred People" from the 2006 revival of Stephen Sondheim's "Company."

On the DVD, this number is interspersed with dialog, is spread across three tracks and lasts 12:26. I extracted the music portions and mashed the three pieces together. I had to leave 0:30 of dialog at the end, though - it's so New York.

This video is an excerpt from the highly recommended 2008 PBS DVD "Company." The DVD is Region 1 only (US/Canada DVD players or worldwide PC DVD players).

In 2007, "Company" won Tony Awards for "Best Revival of a Musical" and "Best Direction of a Musical (John Doyle)." Raúl was nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical. The original 1970 production was nominated for 12 Tony awards and won 6 of them.

Okay she sounds NOTHING like Patti.....Patti has immense false-vibrato issues. Angel's belt resonance is directly in her mask and Patti's is a bit farther back.

I have the Company vocal book released after the revival and AHP is in this key. It's to my understanding that that's considered the definitive version now but I could be wrong.

I think both Angel and Pamela take on very different interpretations and I love them both equally. This is my favorite song from Company by far. <3
