Three common musk turtles (Sternotherus odoratus) that I hatched several months ago are eating turtle pellets. I feed them a varied diet of zoo med turtle pellets, minnows, crickets, lobster roaches, and other small insects that I happen to have around. They will also nibble on leafy greens occasionally, so I usually offer that once a week or so.

  • Hey, how much would a baby musk turtle cost in the UK? how much would it cost per month average? how much would all the equipment cost? and also, how big can they get? thanks

  • I don't live in the UK so I have no idea what they cost there.... Most musk species top out at about 5" carapace length. They're one of the easiest and lowest maintenance turtles to keep though.
