  • i do see the benefit of instant on, but being buddhist i need to practice patience so i had to buy a compaq n410c subnotebook. lol

  • Sure, very simply most operating systems take time to load up from a disk before they are usable. The Splashtop environment is already built into the hardware so its just like turning on a tv - no load times its just there.

Its to save on batery life aswell as speed. Nearlly everything is done on the web nowadays no need to load all those other processes if your just gonna surf the web.

  • 2 years later Apple takes this technology and sells it back to it's i-slaves and takes full credit for it.

  • @lekid911

no only for certain motherboards and computers have it

  • On the video wow on the asus eee pc can you do it with the 700 version instead of 701 version? the 700 one is the 2gb surf one and i wana get that one because its cheaper and i can run wow of my SD card

  • haha

  • This is cool to see but I read that the UI they show is a subset before booting into a complete os. So maybe this is more like a live-cd with read/write capabilities and instant-on.

  • hii

  • It can be very usefull!

    Is it free?
