I also need cdma, and having got that part right, I couldn't be happier with my unlimited everything plan. I got my mom a net10 phone for Christmas. Been wanting to for some time now after my great experiences with the unlimited plan, but she's been kicking up a fuss about her friends having poor coverage in her area. Finally, I decided the only way to prove to her that net10 is on the best network carriers, was to get her one and let her see for herself. While my needs allow for gsm coverage(AT&T and T-Mobile), she needed Verizon's cdma for her area. Now she raves about her good coverage.

I am so excited to see other people thinking that the NET10 deals would make great holiday gift ideas! The fantastic part is that you don't have to sign a long term contract, so if the giftee wants to change the plan to suit their needs better, they have tons of flexibility. I am going to start off by giving the $50 unlimited plan as the gift.

@movinup100 I have the opposite problem...I don't really want my mom getting her hands on net10's unlimited plan, cause she'll be calling me 10 times a day. I use it cause you don't have to compromise on coverage to get such amazing savings but I think I'll keep getting her one of the lower options...JIC! ;)

Gosh this package is an absolute bargain & great for a person on a tight budget. I'm thinking of the college students, school kids, pensioners, poor people, this is why I love net10. They are always bending over backwards to satisfy the customers needs and budget. I'm pretty happy with my Net10 unlimited flexi plan though - I wouldn't change it for anything as its amazing value for money especially if the whole family uses the phone when I get home after work and in the weekends.

Good call greenmamacrunch...holidays are coming and quick. The Net10 phone and service will make a great gift for anyone. Since no contract is required, you can get it done quick and easy. I know the commercial is for moms, but for my hubby, I plan on the getting the Samsung T401G with the Unlimited plan. He will be so thrilled when he finds out he can talk, text, email, and access the web all day long and not worry about overages. And, he can make free 411 calls as well. One of my list already.

it's not too late dr m. there are a lot more holidays coming up. this makes such a great gift especially to those not accustomed to cell phone or scared by complicated phones. net10 service at $15 a month plus is a great deal for the elderly or for kids. I gave one to my grandma because she really needs a phone JIC and she uses it and we don't pay a lot extra for her.

Too bad I didn't see this video during mother's day - it would have made gif buying so much easier. The brighter side with NET10 and their new unlimited plan is I can keep in touch with my mom and the rest of my family during the holidays when I'm travelling. The network is nationwide and I don't have to worry about peak talk times or nights and weekends - just talk and text as I need it. Spending $50 has rarely sounded so good.

Do people still actually get "mom" tattooed on their arms?This phone is so affordable, I got one for my mom & my son, and I know how happy it makes her to keep contact with him, even though we live so far apart. Have bought her the 6 mth card (saves her having to renew monthly) and works out to only 6c/min. I wasn't sure my son was quite ready for stretching 1500 mins, so have him on the $15 monthly plan. Nice that I will now be able to adjust his minutes as his needs change with no extra fuss!
