I was prescribed a very low dose of Paxil several years ago. Took one pill and started completely wigging out. Both visual and audible hallucinations. Random images flashed before me, like someone was turning the channel really fast in my brain, loud screams, voices and other odd sounds. Was having intense and terrifying CEV's, super-complex fractal orbs floating above peoples heads, extreme agitation like I'd never felt before. This nightmare went on for about 12 hours just from one small pill!

I know how you feel. I lost a brother to this shit. He has become a heartless humanoid whom I no longer recognise. Personally, I think that rat poison is preferable. At least it will kill you outright.

I'm going off Seroquel and Desipramine and it's really tough. I've been on Seroquel for 8 years and Desipramine I don't know exactly but a long time. and I recently had shock treatments. I'm taking Vitamin C, B12, Omega 3-6-9, Gingo Biloba, St John's Wort, Magnesium and all those help. I would recommend all these natural supplements to anybody.

@Hiltongroupie how long have u been on these drugs for? do u find that they have altered your mind in anyway?

You say that AD's "calcify" your brain. Is there evidence to substantiate this?

We have communicated before. I'm checking in to say I have been off SSRI's over 3 months now. Things definatly got better but the whole experience changed me so much. This last month was pretty detox symptom free and now I'm getting brain zaps again when I go to sleep. It's more annoying then painful or anything but telling my brain is still chemically not back to normal. I'm worried symptoms will always haunt me, the whole experience was so intence.
Do you still have the zap feeling?

@huffharry very rarely. Only after staying up really late and not getting enough sleep. Eating a ton of bananas helps a lot ... natural brain food.
