Blur End Of A Century
Taken From The Classic Album Parklife
This album won many awards and was clearly the defining album of britpop in my opinion

What happens to one's mind after one gets thirty?
Does the mind stop getting dirty?
I am 27 now and I can confirm that in my experience the mind does indeed get dirty as one gets closer to thirty.
Is there anyone here that is thirty or more that can tell about their experience?

They were just so damn good. Nobody could compare....yes, not even Oasis. The reason I went for Blur over Oasis (and I did like Oasis, but I had EVERYTHING from Blur) was that their musical ability was like that of a 1960s rock band. They were just four talented guys who were a perfect combination when put together. And they had melodies, harmonies, and instrumentation that reminded me of The Beatles and The Who and The Kinks, etc. I wish they'd get back together, the original four!

Blur are a waste of Graeme Coxon's talent!

If you really want to hear how much of Blur's music was influenced by XTC, check out "It Could Be You" off the Great Escape album. That song and "Tracy Jacks" sound a lot like the XTC song "Respectable Street."

My first concert was a Blur one. It was celebrating the end of the Olympics and I loved it- that means it's true because I am nine

yep, it's still dirty as fuck. and this song ages so hard my non-existent clitoris fills up with blood as soon as it starts. 32 years old.

To me Blur are the only Britpop band. They brought something original and new, no one could ever imitate them or sound like them. If you say Britpop, no one else comes to my mind, only Blur. This amazing song is just another proof that there will never be anybody like them anymore. I love Oasis but I can never compare them to Blur, as they're a rock'n'roll band (definitely my favourite), not Britpop.
