Here's my recipe for a very easy Gyudon (牛丼) that does not require any special ingredients and cooks in one pot. Somehow deglazing a pan after sauteing beef and onions works even better than the typical mirin and dashi ingredients. Enjoy!
I know soy sauce is very salty and I don't use alot so I just use like 2 table spoons and brown sugar. It's probably not the same but it's still good!

@leenzyan As are the onions, and that's quite the load of sugar, but you must always take recipes with a grain of salt.
