The new series of Grand Designs, features 'Sylvan Glade' - the first overtly contemporary house in Keston Park designed by James Engel of Spaced Out Architecture Studio.

The design for Paul and Penny Denby is inspired by the light and space of a woodland clearing. Centred on a double height lounge with gallery, the house is full of curves and wonderful framed views of the parkland setting. State-of-the-art passive technology supports the comfort and well being of the family occupants.

This is a beautiful building.! The silent movie aspect allows one to concentrate on the forms of the house. I wish I had a home like this.
