  • Impressive speaking. I just wish the visual quality was better.

Clarke has a majestically historic view of the U.S., a glaring contrast to the banal venality of the present ruling elite.

  • Yeah, I apologize for the quality of the video. It is a very inexpensive camera and I was shaking quite a bit from the cold.

  • I will regain some respect for the USA if they impeach President Bush. Otherwise, you are just complacent apathetic partners in crime. Why does the USA spend more on military than the rest of the world combined? A budget like that can only be justified if you have turned the rest of the world against you.

  • Classifying all Americans as partners in crime is a very generalized statement. As a tax resister and future Peace Corps volunteer, I would like to think that I am not a partner in any crime. I know there are thousands more like me.

  • You are perhaps the exception? My frustration is that the government should represent the general opinion of the people. Either the people generally have a bad disposition or the government doesn't follow the will of the people. Which is it? And if the latter, then perhaps the people are just too complacent.

  • I think you have over simplified the problem people within the boundaries of US political control face. This is not a democracy, it is a global totalitarian state run by transnational corporations who see humans in terms of dollar signs only. Much of the developed world (whether they pretend to be or not) are partners in this crime. No one on earth who doesn't actively and peacefully resist the forces that be is innocent.

  • Things you can do:

    1. Think green. US dependency on oil is a driving force behind this government.

    2. Talk to people. You will be surprised how many don't understand what is going on.

    3. Join a political party to influence who the next presidential candidates will be. It's not democracy when you only have a choice between 2 people every 4 years.

I am not a US citizen, otherwise I would LOVE to do the last point. But I plan on traveling to the US to fight a war on ignorance.

  • Do you agree there is a problem? Are you upset and want change? I hope you answered yes.

Can we make a difference? This is my way of trying. I think what prevents justice is peoples ignorance of what's going on and unwillingness to act on what they know. I hope with enough informed and motivated people, change will happen. But when you give up and say you are powerless, then you let them win.

  • we didn't even elct our current president. how can we impeach him?

  • sure , sure. black and white right?

either your a part of the problem, or part of the solution.

    what's your contribution to life?

  • Don't apologise! What you've given us was excellent.

    Thanks!
