NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory launched atop an Atlas V vehicle from Kennedy Space Centre, Florida. This launch has special significance due to a "sonic wave" pattern noted as the vehicle ascended through a layer of cirrus clouds. This starts at about 0:46 or when the music changes in tempo!
This launch was viewed from just outside the Visitors Complex at the Kennedy Space Centre.
