@ledningen2001 Thanks ledningen2001! You are indeed correct about the SID chip having 3 sound channels. However, I am using two SID 6581's in my C64. 8 bit Ventures sells a circuit board called the SID2SID that allows addition of a second SID chip.

My God, an 8-bit chiptune of Don't Stop Believing that doesn't suck!
You, sir, are my hero.

@kandstrom I take that back. Somehow, this has a slur at 1:28. Yes, you found another true 8-bit video. Congratulations.
-
@RandomWithWolfeyt No it's not. Listen to the first stanza (in the link video). Hear the slurring between notes? Although that was using the NES sound software, that was a 64 bit computer. If an 8-bit system were being used to produce that remix (in the link video), it wouldn't be able to support that slurring, or the vibrato that was also used. It's a great remix, just not real 8-bit.

Is it just me or has the price of a c64 gone up in the last 10 years. I used to get them for free or like $20 at a garage sale.

@SoundwaveRomania I'm not sure. I think my C64 A/V cable is junk. Sometimes it's color, sometimes it's black and white.
