The SIG SAUER® P250 was designed specifically to address the future needs of the military, law enforcement, and civilian shooters around the world. The P250's innovative design enables the shooter to quickly remove the functional mechanism and place it into the polymer grip of his choice. This allows an immediate change in caliber and size;(subcompact, compact and full). And after any change the pistol delivers both outstanding accuracy and reliable functionality. Its modularity not only provides incredible ease of maintenance, but also provides a solution for accommodating different hand sizes - there are 6 different ergonomic combinations for each size, accomplished by changes in grip circumference and trigger style. Now you can own the world's only modular shooting system globally engineered to deliver the "To-Hell -And-Back-Reliability" you've come to expect from Sig Sauer.
I don't see the point. For the price of the conversion I can damn near get another gun.

@rydillon They've really marketed that whole "modular" thing...but the only way I see it as practical is as a "do I wanna carry a big gun or little gun today" thing. It does make it a little easier to go from .357sig to .40. but I think Glocks and others already do that.

If your buying this pistol and thinking..."Later on I may buy that nice looking camo grip frame, or maybe the stainless steel finished slide for my black gun..." All I can say is good luck. I own a P250 and love it but your options are limited on anything other than caliber/size exchange kits in black...In other words, your not gonna find anything other than black.

@rydillon If buying directly from Sig the upper slide will only cost you $285, that's far cheaper then buying an entirely new pistol from Sig. If you want a .45or change the the pistol from a full sized down to a compact or sub compact your going to pay about $330 for the grip and slide, so at that point it is a better idea just to pay a bit extra and pay for a full pistol. Now if you just want to keep lets say a full size and change the caliber then just buying the slides is a good bargain.

Why not just buy two different pistols? Better yet provide two trigger modules and have two complete guns? Seems there is no practical use for this gun.
