German Blue Ram Cichlids defending nest

Platy and Dwarf Gourami were really just minding their own business. Although, both had bullied the German Blue Ram from time to time especially during feeding. However, this time, after the German Blue Ram spawned, they turned aggressive to whoever approach their nest. Little Platy is the youngest fish in this tank and was just born 2 days before the Rams were added(Oct 22, 2010). Now she is pretty aggressive and would retaliate against the Rams when being attacked. The Dwarf Gourami, as far as he concerns, he owns the tank. He was indeed in this tank before all the other fish...he was born in here in July 2010 right before other fish were added. Although he was removed and raised in another tank, he was moved back at 5-week-old, and quickly became the boss

A few new plants including that large sword were just added to the aquarium, they suffered from cold damage during the shipping, that's why there are brown parts on the leaves.
