  • We are considering doing a pergola and I just was curious as to what you used as the roof on top of the bamboo?

  • @heather232 The pergola was covered with a high strength specialty and lightweight roofing system that to the best of our knowledge no one else is using at people's homes in Florida. I came accross it while designing and building a project in Central America. We have been using it for about two years and we really like it...

  • Hello excuse my English I have a question you need a city permit for a gazebo with palm leaf ceiling or roof of thatch I living in Miami.

  • @BRANFRANENTERPRISES If you do a traditional tiki hut with native americans, they have a certificate that exempts them from having to have a permit to build their traditional chiki or tiki hut. If it is any other situation, you require a permit. I hope that this helps and remember that we can build one for you too!

  • The material is sold at home depot as a high strength alternative to plywood for hurricane proofing your windows. Its a lexan type material that is corrugated like cardboard for strength. At home depot it costs about 80 bucks for a 4x6 sheet.

    Hope this helps!!

  • muscle4you37 I believe it lexan the clear roof they are using.

  • I also asked the question on the clear roofing material that was used and they will not respond, there just money hungry and want you to spend 10k for them to build you one!!

  • @OutdoorLifestyle What's the specific name of the roofing system? Thanks.
