I do a review of Microsoft's Silverlight 4 Beta Client for Facebook, or I just call it the Facebook Client. This piece of cross-platform software is hight recommended by me and Chris Pirillo for people whom are addicted to Facebook. You're likely to ALWAYS have a browser window open. Well, with this Facebook Client, you can view EVERYTHING you would on facebook.com IN this client. It has a nice look to it and is very slick. I love the way they show the photo's feed. Trust me, if you love Facebook, you'll love this client.
To use this client, you will need Microsoft Silverlight installed. Don't you worry Mac users, because just because it has the word "Microsoft" in it, doesn't mean it's ONLY for Windows. Microsoft Silverlight is available for BOTH Mac OS X and Windows.
If you don't have Silverlight 4 Beta you can download it from the same page as you do the client, so here is the link. http://www.silverlight.net/content/samples/apps/facebookclient/

  • @Bobaloobi How can you avoid it? When you see TV commercials, walk into a shop, etc., the Facebook URL is displayed in plain sight. You would truly have to live under a rock to have not at least heard of Facebook.

  • Whether it will work in Linux depends on whether it will work in Mono's Moonlight. Microsoft doesn't make the official Silverlight player available to Linux (and it crashes under Linux). It's not surprising that Microsoft would make it in Silverlight instead of something truly portable.

  • @Bobaloobi Someone just came out of under a rock, and he be mad bro, thx for your misconception, but perhaps the reason people have facebooks is to keep track of their lives, dumbshit.

  • @CBWolfy Or they just don't use their computer all day like people like you who have no life. -_-

  • "as you know facebook is a social network," and if you did not, then it looks like you just crawled out from under that rock.
