High winds on Ardrossan approach pushes the crew and captain to show their
handling skills of the caledonian isles. Late 2006 .
As usual great commentary by I watson putting reassurance in 3 year old Issie that we are about to get on board that ferry .

  • What a load of rubbish! It's obvious that the guy doing all the talking has never been on a boat before. "A few broken glasses". From what? That's just the normal movement of the ship in those conditions and is not in any way extreme.

  • Was on the Arran ferry back in 2000 ish in high winds, the ferry stopped outside Ardrossan harbour, then came in slowly and still rocked over, about 45 deg, I was stood in the front observation lounge at the window, facing forward, so had a great view of the angles, the captain had asked everyone to sit, a lot of crockery smashed in the cafeteria, took some hanging on to stay on my feet too, took 10 min for the ferry to settle before berthing.

  • LOL Now thats how to parallel park!
