You can record in public if it can be seen by the naked eye in a public place.

it is not illegal at all. the cops cant do shit about it. i will have a video up in a bit with some cops that i shot from a bit further away because i didnt want to go to near unless the cops got really violent so there was no sound but they were harassing people and stuff.and iim in ILLINOIS

It's not illegal to record people (police included) in a public area. If you were in his house or something then yeah, but not in public. You can record all you want it's not illegal. Not saying he wouldn't beat you up for it or something, but he'd be wrong.

lame. I like the idea of police, but actually dealing with them is a pain in the ass.
Although, I've learned that the only way to answer a police officer's questions are "yes sir" and "no sir". Anything else and they may take it upon themselves to make your life a pain for a while.
