  • Shawn, I've become fixated with your channel lol! It's the best on Youtube for golf instruction bar none! I'm wondering if I don't have the brace, or weight on my left side, as my divots (if I take one) are never in front of the ball. I'm sure I'm losing a some forward tilt through impact as well. Any thoughts sir?

  • @MikePedersenGolfTips Hey Mike!

You are struggling with the same issues throughout all your posts on my videos; what I recommend you do is go to my forum and post your questions there and you will have tremendous support for these; just go to my website above and join, we have a great bunch of friendly guys and gals that are having a blast answering questions and exchanging successes and challenges along the way. I chime in quite a bit too! :)

  • Hi Shawn I'm just revisiting this concept as I'm prob not setting up correctly for it. It looks to me that your left leg is pre-set to the impact position. I was wondering therefore is there a perceptible increase in weight going through the left foot at address say 60:40 rather than 50:50 as conventional texts will say?

  • @parttroll1 Yes; a great weight distribution in DYNAMIC ADDRESS is 60-40 in favor of the left or forward side; feeling that we are already in motion in our follow through and in the process of allowing our arm-club units to swing into the backswing while letting our bodies listen to this and gliding out of the way; Shawn

  • Shawn,

    a) is it fair to label this "modified stack/tilt?" And there seems to be a trend on tour (with short irons at least) to really brace against left, stay left, and stay centered. Bye, bye traditional loading?

  • @steckleinjr Stack and tilt came out after I was already out there on air and when their name came out, I thought they were on to the things I was teaching; but the only thing we have in common is this; and we don't even do that the same way; I talk brace AGAINST THE LEFT and keep the body's centre of gravity stacked with proper tilt through the swing; see my home page and work your way back through the videos...Thanks for posting! Shawn

  • can u emphasize on your legs when you brace????

  • @clemshaw I actually stumbled upon Shawn's vids a year and half ago searching for Bennett/Plummer's Stack & Tilt on youtube.. thank God! Shawn, I was hesitant to switch to braced-tilt, but now it's making a huge difference in consistent ball compression, preventing sliding, etc. I even posted on your forum that I've followed and taught too many people, incorrectly, a lateral weight shift.. hehe. Youtube vids & DVDs are truly second to none on the full swing.. THANKS SHAWN!!

  • @curtissii Similar but with way more range of motion to truly kill the ball effortlessly! The body is designed a very specific way and teachers have to do their homework in the skeletal structure; see "golf pro lesson body turn arm swing" and "golf pro lesson stop crashing" videos; Shawn

  • @67thatwastheyear There are many new videos that have been loaded since this one to help out with elaborating; see "golf pro lesson feel and let the hammer through" and "golf pro lesson tilted twirl"; just go to my home channel and work your way back; the last 7 months have been a real revelation!! Shawn
