@TravisJKing I said this before, but I really think sometimes the person is giving a thumbs down to the memories the song conjures up rather than to the song itself. I've done that before to great songs just before of the moods they cause at that moment in time. Ya never know.

@macsown1 "Left the 70s?" You mean it isn't 1979 anymore?

tyme4mike----I couldnt have said it any better. back to a time when life was so much simpler. I spent 2 weeks on Kauai in 2010 listening to great tunes like this with my wife, and i would give my left testicle to go back there and never come back again.

Canadian songwriters put all their heart in the music and still continue be great at it.Proud to be a Canadian.

It was in the 70's, wife had been diagnosed w/ scyz's. In our early 20's. Pretty tough back then. They wanted to do shock therapy, couldn't sign papers. Drove home and boke down to this song. Now in my 50's this song still has a major impact, impact to the good. What a life.
As a Canadian proud that you guys came up with this. Thanks.

Like Greg Kihn says....they don't write 'em like that anymore. This is an absolutely beautiful song with heart. Kim Berly really means what he's singing. The 70s were the best ever and we'll never get it back.
