I'm going through Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. I was told today that it is possible that I will have to wait 6 months to be assigned to a graduate, not undergraduate with a professional overlooking them. It will be approximately $1500 a tooth. I need 3. It will be under $500 more if I need a sinus lift. I'm excited and can hardly wait. Although they are upper back molars, one one my left side and 2 on my right side....I am so self conscious to smile big. I'm anxious.

@chifour66 go see Dr.Hahn at Gentle Dental Care in Acworth, GA 770-926-2784. He is a lot less. I'm having it done next week

Extractions are about 2,500 dollars alone for all uppers, then the transitional denture around 300-600.Then 13,200 for implants and teeth. How in the world do you dentists in Canada figure someone with an average income, family/house/bills to pay can afford for these procedures??That is crazy!Insurance will cover 1/2 of extractions if you are lucky. If you dentists would bring the cost to half of that, maybe you would get 10 times the amount of patients wanting implants!I

@sirtinycreep So true! Even if the materials cost 15.000 and the whole procedure costs 30.000, they still make 15.000 profit in about one hour...imagine ;)

@hartwick199 I am 44, need this procedure, but the quotes I have received for a full upper and lower arch is $50-65,000 here in the Atlanta area. I am positive I will have this done, don't want to "shop it," but am terrified to have someone do this for less money that may not be as well versed in the procedure. I really wished I knew what the answer was to that question! I don't need any extractions or bone grafts, just the straight forward procedure.

$30-40,000 for 32 teeth means the cost is about $940-1,250 per tooth - not $3,000! Sure, it's more expensive than standard dentures - but dentures give about 10% of tooth function. These give about 90%!
Try them, you'll love them. : )
-
Our materials cost for this type of procedure starts at about $15,000 and can go up rapidly depending on the quality desired. That is for materials alone - the specialized equipment needed costs many thousands more.
-
No way can they justify that cost. It's an hour's job at the most. The materials only cost around $100!

Be glad you don't have insurance! They hit you up hard if you have it. After thousands of dollars out of my pocket, not counting what my insurance pay, I got dentures, two implants on the bottom, after 7 months still waiting for permanents, Wish I had walked in and said I have no insurance!!! a friend in florida, got the permanant, top and bottom, beautiful teeth and paid 1/2 what I paid and she got 4 implants on bottom! she had no insurance.

@moonbean15a - Sounds like you got a bad deal :( But remember! Your permanent dentures (when you get them) should be much better. And an implant-stabilized denture like yours is still FAR more comfortable than a standard "loose" denture.

Dentists in Canada? We're in beautiful Oologah, Oklahoma!
Insurance payments vary widely on this sort of procedure; some pay for a significant portion, some don't. We work with our patients to maximize benefits by spreading out treatment and so on; in the end, you just have to ask yourself: do I want a floppy and painful denture, or the most attractive, effective teeth available?
These teeth aren't cheap, but our patients' think they're worth the price!
