So just because a person exists, they are owed a home, even if they don't work hard for anything?

I just know I'm going to get my arse chewed out on this one, but I'm going to say what I think anyways, so crucify me.

This has got to be the stupidest propaganda commercial I've seen, to be honest. It talks about a "home" of John McCain's, tries to get the viewer's sympathy by pointing out he was a POW. The issue I'm having with this commercial? A prison camp is not a home, a home is someplace someone voluntarily lives. Prison, not a home. Commercial's argument, null and void.

Since when was being a POW a good thing for presidential candidates. It seems to me that the guy who didn't endure torture might be the safer candidate. I know soldiers who went to Vietnam who weren't tortured but were profoundly affected for the rest of their lives. I would think those that were tortured might be in worse shape. He's not a general who won a war for our country, and so much of our current wars are fought with the press of a button that the 'warrior' card can't be played anymore.

And granted, Obama may not be the perfect candidate, in fact I may be voting Ron Paul, but the choices that we have are extremely limited. Currently it is hard for many to believe in the Republican product. I am for small government and cutting the pork, but I am against what seems like a war-like party both because killing innocents is wrong, and because it serves to weaken our economy. Not only this, but it seems like the Republican Party has been corrupted by fundamental social conservatives.

No doubt, one can look at Obama's economic plan and see that it does look like class warfare, but currently many people are losing their homes/life savings and Obama's plan will help many of these people. Jobs are hard to find right now, and many Americans are unwilling/unable to work for the lowered wage it would take to hire workers in this country due to the rampant outsourcing which has gone on in this country.

elektek - It isn't about liberal or conservative, it's about what is right and what is wrong. You're bashing of the left shows that you too have been corrupted by the rhetoric of the two major parties in this country. On the subject of houses, it is relevant. Many people are losing the 1 home they own, while McCain doesn't even know how many he owns. This shows the wide disparity between McCain's own life, and understanding the needs of the American people. Leftist charade...hrumph.

McCain was not tortured, he was subject to "enhanced interrogation". Everything thing he experienced has been done by this country to "enemy combatants" and non-combatants held for years without charge and without trial. As GWB said, "we do not torture". If that is true, then neither was McCain tortured.

Yet another comment from those "tolerant" leftist atheists. Are they not the kind of people that you want leading the country? I just feel all that "compassion" for others that they are ALWAYS driveling about. One does not have to stick ones head in a sewer to know that it stinks and neither do we need to elect a socialist/leftist/progressive/ communist to know that these people are not what we need in this country and are very dangerous people. look no further than Underground Bill Ayers!

What does the number of houses that John McCain and his wife own have to do with him being President? Would you prefer to elect a homeless person to the highest office in the land or elect someone who is successful? This leftist charade is nothing but Marxist class warfare and playing to the envy that resides in all humans and it is wrong.
Also, does ANYONE really believe that the wealthy people like Obama,Kennedy,Biden, Bush, Liberman etc.are going to pass tax laws that will hurt themselves?NO
