Cont. What about Matthew 1:21-23 or Luke 1:3-33? I believe that when Jesus is baptized, the Father spoke, and the Holy Spirit descended "like a dove" onto Jesus, confirming Him as God's Son, not MAKING Him "God", but confirming Him as God. Mark 1:10-11; Luke 3:22? The Bible confirms itself in this matter.

If I understand you correctly, Matthew wrote Matthew in Hebrew, but I don't understand, "supplied by writing the lack of hs own presence to those from whom he was sent." That was from Eusebius, and I'd need to see the whole quote. You then add that Matthew confirms the deity of Jesus Christ as the Spirit of God begotten at baptism in the material man. What does that mean? Jesus was a man, and the Holy Spirit made Him "God" at baptism? Again, what of Matt 1:18-19 or other gospels?

@Brucev7 As quoted by Eusebius in 325CE: "Matthew had first preached to Hebrews and when he was on the point of going to others he transmitted in writing in his native language the Gospel according to himself, and thus supplied by writing the lack of his own presence to those from whom he was sent". Hebrew Matthew confirms the deity of Jesus Christ as the Spirit of God begotten at baptism in the material man and exposes the pagan beliefs inserted by the church.

@Brucev7 cont'd Not on PETER -- it does NOT say, "on YOU", but on "THIS". Again, "THIS" relates back to "You are the Christ, the son of the Living God." God calls Jesus "God" in Hebrews 1:8.

As for the Virgin Birth, what does the "Hebrew" translation say about verses 18-19?

@Brucev7 cont'd Eveyrbody misinterprets Matthew 16. In verse 15, He asks the disciples who they think He is; in verse 16, Peter said "You are Christ, the Son of the Living God." Jesus says in verse 17: Flesh and blood did not reveal THIS to you..." What is "this"? That Jesus is the Christ. Then in verse 18, Jesus says, "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on THIS rock" I will build My church.

@crystalcorp A Hebrew translation of Matthew WOULD take out signs of Jesus' deity -- Jews did not believe He was God. But, our Bible is based on a GREEK translation, as all of the books of the New Testament are. And all of the Gospels are meant to be taken as one, not Matthew singled out as the only reliable gospel.

You will find the truth in the Hebrew Gospel of Matthew translated only once, from Hebrew to English. Among the many differences, Jesus never said to Peter "upon this rock I will build my church". Also it says nothing of the virgin birth, saying "Joseph begat Jesus" and upon the baptism of Jesus, God says, "Thou art my son, TODAY I begot thee"! No wonder Pope Leo X is quoted as saying "What profit has not that fable of Christ brought us!" Believe in Jesus and his words, NOT the church "fable".
