Actually - my cat had to be put to sleep on March 10, 2006. He never fully recovered and I completely agree with you. They should never be allowed out once they have been housecats. He slipped out one night when I was lowering the garage door and I didn't know he had followed me out to the garage. It still makes me sick at my stomach nearly a year later. Such a waste. He was three years old.
