@hanrinch People seem to forget that every computer is running thousands of background tasks anyway running even when they're not running a single application. You're one instance of MS Word won't be the only thing running on that CPU, whilst it's idle other system tasks will kick in. This isn't just about how many programs you're running at once but how many CPUs you put in the mix to concurrently handle millions of things that go on every minute. The more CPUs the better for EVERYONE.
