well he has to.. thats what the soundcheck it there for.. he needs to make sure that when he yells into the microphone with his amazing voice, everyone can hear, make sure it doesnt crack or anything :)

actually, for the MMVA's quite a few people watch the soundchecks. Last year, me and my friends were in toronto and we say Alexisonfire, Billy Talent and Avril Lavigne do their soundchecks. There were a bunch of people near the stage and about 50 on the other side of the street XD
