  • Thanks for the vid. My first oils were awful. I didn't follow the basic rules and ended up with muddy messes. I finally threw them away.

    Then I leaned painting is really filling in the spaces like you show here. One starts with the background and works forward. I suggest people make a list of the proper steps in painting and follow them until they have them memorized.
