(PS3) MLB 08 The Show - Royals at Tigers [top 1st Inning]

I wanted to post some season mode vids of MLB08 The Show. I know now why this game has become my favorite sports game yet - its the attention to detail. I played without skipping the cut scenes to show just how detailed everything is. If you notice, the right-center field scoreboard is correct for the matchups from that day on the MLB schedule (April 2). The commentary and video are seamless, complete with season stat tracking and player tidbits. Framerate is like butter too (unlike the other baseball game LOL.) - Anyway, not alot of action offensively in this one, as it was a pitchers duel until the 8th. Tigers ended up winning 3-1 on a Sheffield 3-run dinger in the bottom of the 8th.

Not really. Bonderman has 2 fastballs, with his 2-seamer almost trailing like a slider. So basically I used the fastballs to get ahead, then went to the offspeed stuff.

Ok I agree, detail in MLB 08 is fucking awesome. I have a 360 and I wish next year the show can be on both platforms. But check this out, I've always liked the 2k series and this year's game introduced the new "throwing mechanics with the right stick...."Ok so I have always said if there was a baseball game that used both the right stick from 2k8 but used mlb the show's graphics and detail...by far that could be the best baseball game ever...dont you people agree?

Yeah its a good question about developers learning blue ray technology and your also right about the cost which I do expect to go down in price in the next year.

I guess the one thing I look at is online. Obviously if you dont play online then it doesnt matter. But if I can save 30-40? bucks a year on Xbox live + if you plan on buying a blue ray player along with your Xbox. Kill 2 birds with one stone (Sorry PETA) with the PS3

That makes sense. But how long will it take for developers to get the hang of using blue ray? also we can't rule out the difference between expenses. The XBOX 360 is going for......what is it now $250 I think? and the PS3 is a whooping $400. That's $150 more than the XBOX. The console might be great, But if it want's to be the best, it has to be cheaper to buy.

The thing about the PS3 though is game makers have the Xbox 360 figured out. They know how to use it. But video game makers still dont know how to use the PS3 to their advantage. So I think once they do you will see a big notice between PS3 and Xbox. This is the first time game makers are using the Blue Ray and no one can disagree that the Blue Ray is more powerful then the DVD disc
