This was very interesting! I've always enjoyed learning about different viewpoints, but lately I've been trying to find as much cultural information about Spain as I can. I'm planning to study in Spain next year through the exchange program at my university, and as a result I've become rather obsessed with all things related to Spain. Would you recommend any specific books or reputable online sources that focus on these topics? Anything on history, culture, language, ect?
@adriamillasluque Which point specifically do you disagree with? Do you have any examples from your time at UCSD? In any case, why does it matter that I put this topic on Youtube for debate? Is it somehow wrong to discuss our similarities and differences? Is that a taboo subject?

@Pray4Beats Excellent point! But, I do think that some Spanish companies tend to overwork and undercompensate their employees. Engineers can make three or four times as much in England or the U.S. Tell him that.

@adriamillasluque Whenever people generalize about anything, they're wrong, because there are always differences, and in this case there are many more similarities than differences. I did say I was going to generalize, maybe "overgeneralize" is a better word, in the video. Anyone who cares to investigate can see that Americans like to talk about every friggin' weakness we've got, and people take us seriously. Makes you kind of worry about it,doesn't it? I think most Spaniards "gossip" a lot too.

@bermyWHAT Kind of like the Banana Republic's conviction of "Juez Garzon" yesterday, eh? It just doesn't make much sense, but it's Spanish and they know it. He apparently operated within the law, but was just too independent for them - the local Supremes. Heck, for all I know, it's now against the law here to colour the d@mn thing blue.
Spanish people annoy the crap out of me when they complain about Germans being square because they follow the rules, enjoy social order, and feel responsible for other and their surroundings - while the Spanish couldn't give two shits about others but will scream at a child for colouring a banana blue instead of yellow.

Spanish people wonder why their country is shit when they have no work ethic and they're constantly looking to cheat others and the government.
