Rob Bryanton, besides (or maybe because of) being a brilliant artist, has the same clarity and presence of mind of the great science communicators (Carl Sagan comes to my mind). I may add that, in Rob's case, his cosmovision is his own. I admire him enormously.

I join the ranks of those who enjoy your perspective and presentation of Quantum Physics.
Any thoughts on exploring and explaining the math of all this to us beginners? I'm fascinated, but don't know where to begin - without going back to 1966 (the 9th grade!)

Yes ... no misunderstanding here.

I knew the answer. I just felt that the semantics might escape (albeit deliberately)those who look for any support that they can conjure - by fair means or foul - for a god.
You may place yourself in the same situation as Einstein whose words have been used 'deftly' to erroneously suggest that he believed in God (as commonly defined).
I enjoy your work.

Thanks! But again, let's be clear here. You ask about an "old man who lives in the sky who controls our every move and thought", and I say no, that's not what I'm talking about. But I have no problem saying "I believe in patterns and shapes that exist outside of our fourth dimensional spacetime that participate in the creation of of our observed universe", and I have no problem saying I believe that those patterns and shapes that selected our universe are what some of us call "God".

Does Rob believe in an old man who lives in the sky who controls our every move and thought?

No.
Not sure why you would ask such a question, terencelaoshi. We're talking about the higher dimensional patterns that came to select our universe from a multiverse of all possible universes, and the fact that those selection patterns have many different names from different belief systems. If you don't feel you have time to watch this video, I have a vlog entry here on YouTube called "God 2.0" that provides an answer to your question in ten minutes rather than the 47 of this one.
Thanks,
Rob

P. S. An interesting thing about the "God 2.0" concept is it has been embraced by Michael Shermer, famous debunker and editor of Skeptic magazine. The thing I like about the idea, is it allows us to put the label "God" on whatever it is that created our universe, but it's willing to acknowledge the truth of other interpretations.
But it definitely does not include a deterministic version of the universe where none of us have free will, which appears to be the scenario you're proposing.
