Dr. Laurence Brown
A graduate from two Ivy League universities with sub-specialty training in ophthalmology, Dr. Brown served as a respected ophthalmologist in the U.S. Air Force for a period of eight years. His term of service was distinguished by earning the position of Chief of Ophthalmology, both at Lakenheath Air Force Base in England and at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida (the largest military base in the free world). Dr. Laurence Brown received his BA from Cornell University, his MD from Brown University Medical School, and his ophthalmology residency training at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.

I went to school for design. Not that I needed $400K to teach me that we get our inspiration from nature, not the other way around. Rather, just because a painting has a painter does NOT mean that a tree was 'designed' by God. Hitler was a Christian. He said we get our best ideas from nature, itself. The VW Beetle was fashioned after.. Guess what? A BEETLE. A Ladybug. Trust me, my major was automotive design. I had classes full of this stuff. Again, you don't NEED classes, but I had them.

@eajoseph217 First of all thank you for you comment. You are very logical which is good. I just want to ask you. Did the tree or the beetle come out from nothing.

Science agrees that the universe is perfect, it has design, a system. What makes more logical sense. A. Created things have a creator or B. Created things come out of nothing or a random chain of events.

So do animals have souls? Is the only reason why humans have souls is that we can think? See this is where I don't follow it and totally believe that humans are so into themselves by finding comfort in "gods" to help cope with death. Everybody is afraid of death. We're still operating under the reptilian brain "kill or be killed". Seriously ask you this question, which is scarier: burning in hell for eternity or ceasing to exist forever. I for one say ceasing to exist, cause you'll never know

@dirtleg27 'God' can mean different things for different people. We are talking about the creator. If you ask scientists they do not deny that there is a 'system' 'design' & 'order' in the universe. How can you have system, deisgn & order come out from chaos. What we're talking about here is The Creator of these things.It's easy to find comfort in 'Nothing'. Why don't you stop putting your comfort in theories, and pick up a Quran and read it. or got to quran[.]com (without the brackets

I have comfort knowing that I have people "not gods" that care for me. I have comfort knowing that if I am worthy, that I can achieve the fullest in my life without the help of a supposed superior being by acting on my own good will. You owe me an apology

@dirtleg27 I think the scariest thing would be not knowing what my purpose is. well I do apologise if I offended you. There is far too much evidence to suggest there is a creator. And I did say that 'God' can mean different things for different people.

If an archaeologist finds a piece of pottery he will not say 'this came from nothing' 'it was result of a forest fire heating the clay in the earth.' NO!, the obvious is that someone created it. He can tell you many things from studying it.

@dirtleg27 Theists are supposed to be comforted by the belief in everlasting life with their 'Father, who art in heaven".. Blah, blah. Yet, how many Christian/Catholic funerals have you been to where they're actually celebrating their loved one's entrance into heaven? I sure haven't. Everyone's bawling their eyes out, and can be offered no condolences for the fact that someone's dead. I find that very ironic. Especially because they think they'll eventually meet up with them.

The universe, and earth, is everything but perfect. Your appendix can randomly start to cause you great pain and suffering until it finally kills you. Perfect design? Tornados, El Ninos, droughts, floods can wipe out thousands of lives in a short time. Our best protection against this is the use of technology, which is a product of science.

That man in the video tries to impose religious dogmatism on science, such disproving science. But that's not how science works. Sad to see deluded people.

Because if it really was easy to find comfort from nothing, then I think the majority of the world would be atheist and not any religion trying to relieve people of mental stress by being saved and giving life meaning.

@yo007mo Thank you, I appreciate that. We all have a purpose in life and that is to live it to the fullest because it's the only one we have, with or without. Once this is over the party is over. If God can mean different things to people, surely there is no heaven if heaven is one thing. Then who created the creator, no one seems to answer this. If you believe he is and always was fine. Then why not go with we came from nothing package as well. You cant have faith in that without actual fact.
