  • At a Cultural level, this piece of music stands as the penultimate evidence of the remarkable achievement of European Culture (From The Renaissance Period) and its high level of human imagination and creation; namely, how with only 5 simple Chords A MOST MAGICAL AND HEAVENLY PIECE OF MUSIC CAN BE CONSTRUCTED. Chords: D A Bm G D G A, then back to start with D. only PACHELBEL could do that, and he did. In my humble opinion.

  • Musica Antiqua Köln - the best performances of EVERY piece from the 17th and 18th centuries!

  • I guess I'm used to the modernized version of this song. This just feels so rushed, and it's such a gentle tune that it doesn't have the right feel. It actually makes me somewhat anxious.

  • I wish to thank you.

  • @ZadZadrack the problem is that almost everyone is using nowadays this (or part of this) chord progression for modern songs/pieces of music... .-.

  • At last! It finally sounds like a polyphonic work -- which it is. Not to mention, a virtuoso polyphonic work -- which it definitely is. Brilliant!

  • Wonderful! I love the dynamics!

  • Simply Rich

  • @vesse771 :THANK YOU. I normally play the Chord starting with C major, and when I played then starting with D, I missed the F# Minor. My error would have become apparent if ever I was to play the Chords starting with D Major. Thank you pointing out this tome.Cool. Now,my problem, is to learn to play the Arpeggios of the Piece on the Piano. I can only play Rhythm Guitar. lol.

  • @ZadZadrack small correction, D A Bm F#m G D G A :)

  • Whilst I appreciate all commentators' views on the TEMPO of this piece as played by this Group, I equate it with the Varieties of Roses and their varying colours and textures, for looking at each of them, and if you ENJOY the characteristics of each, then their VARIED SPECIES does not matter at all. As "To Every Season, Turn,Turn,Turn.", There is also "To every piece of music, Tempo,Tempo,Tempo" no matter how varied these tempos might be, so long as the LISTENER enjoy each tempo in its own way.

  • @ZadZadrack interesting and so true good sir
