I checked out Bwana.tv today.. Bwana had posted a video that caught my attention. It described in great detail how to go about installing some very well written open source applications onto your iPhone.

Visit nullriver's website and download the installer.app application for OS X. The application will sync the installer onto you phone. Giving you the ability to update a list of available packages for download using your wifi or edge connection. Installing and unstalling applications onto your iPhone is a snap.

I have also posted a video of me running some of these apps... enjoy..

  • Those of you out there who are putting hateful comments on my videos. Please stop! This video was to show the original iphone firmware using jailbreak. I will not show you step by step on how to hack your iphone. Please look elsewhere, this video was to demo that it is possible.

For sure, can't wait for the 4g, the only thing dissapointing is that the screen is smaller.

A lot of people Reading this comment don't have the $ to buy new iPhone, it's just going to cost so much

  • I love the You Tube on iPhone!

  • Will doing this void the warranty??

    I mean installing the installer.app!!

  • You could plug it in you computer and click on restore if you are willing to lose your older apps.. Thats what I would do..

  • yes it will, apps installer works on 2.0.1 firmware. I have it installed and it works perfectly. You need to use Pwnage to have Cydia and Installer jailbrake on 2.0.1..... do a google on it. Although not all apps works on 2.0.1 if you're trying to have a source and have an app installation on your latest firmware upgrade. ;)

  • NO!

  • will thhis work on 2.0
