  • RUTHIE HENSHALL BROUGHT ME HERE.

  • I get so tired of reading comment on youtube from people who most probably can't carry a tune in a bucket-get over yourselves. Read this very carefully...Susan Boyle is an amateur. She never claimed to be a professional, nor did she claim to be Ruthie Henshaw. I tell you what she did do though, she sang a song on a contest that I had never heard before since I'm not able to see many shows onstage. I now know what I've missed. I love other versions as well, but only because I first heard Susan.

  • Power shot Fantine! Bang! Awesome.

  • @dantay2405 Too powerful? Patti Lupone was the first Fantine so how could you see that character as light?

  • This is the original Broadway production at the end of its run, which Henshall had nothing to do with.

If you know anything about the people cast in the Broadway production, you'd know that Jaquelyn actually sounds a lot like Randy Graff, who originated the role in the Bway production in 1987.

I saw Piro do Cosette a number of times in 1991 and 1992 and she was OUT OF THIS WORLD FANTASTIC! Can't believe her belt is so strong!

Another knockout in the role was Christy Baron, ran from 91 to 92

  • I feel like she puts longer emphasis in weird places. But maybe I'm just too used to Ruthie's version.

  • very elegant.very nicely done jackie.thanks.

  • she played maria in the sound of music at my local theater. she was fantastic! :)

  • I think she is vary good, but she talks to much, and well she is just not as good as ruthie, but really who is? but I do thin she was vary good!

  • Ruthie is better.

  • I think she sounds great. Better than either LuPone or Graff. She doesn't strain as much as LuPone (and you can understand her) and she's more emotional than Graff was. I've never heard Ruthie Henshall sing it - can't compare to her.
