Umm I don't recall Sir Clive crawling over the finish line 60 lengths last!! How refreshing it is knowing that this years NZ Cup field will Small' free and won't have to worry about team driving and obviously 'juiced up' horses.....

I'm not part of the ATC Syndicate. I don't have to defend the actions of Phil Butcher there, yet if Awesome Armbro sat outside Auckland Reactor, without challenging him, how much of a chance did he have in winning the race? Challenging him is something he would have been very new to and may have been worth a punt. Yes, it would have been planned, whether it was Small, or the Butcher brother who planned it we don't know. Although, we both know that today, in our sport, Team Driving is everywhere.

@Nomorecheats74 Oh so you're defending Purdon? That seems a bit unjust, simply because what you, and many others know of Small, think he is the worst cheat in history. Small also admitted what he did, but not that it was illegal, he played within the rules (in place at the time), I'll be honest, if I was him I wouldn't have done it, but we outside that Courtroom, only know what the media released, and people like you, aren't about to budge anyway. Therefore, this conversation has no merit.
