I still find it remarkable and sad that modern wrestling games don't feature certain basic aspects, including doing moves off the apron, a feature that AKI mastered 15 years ago.

IMO, this was really the first wrestling game that was great. Royal Rumble for SNES was good, but you were only able to do so much and didn't have a big roster to choose from. These were the good days for sure.

I got WWE '12 a few days ago. As far as next-gen wrestling games go, it's alright, but the music is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! They have the same 2 tracks play over and over again. Thank god for the ability to listen to your own music. But seriously, what's up with the soundtracks now?! The days of AKI's wrestling games were seriously the best. The music was just fantastic, the gameplay was just outstanding, and there was actually blood in the games!!! I think I'll go play WCW nWo Revenge now.
