The risks that they note are so unlikey to happen. The most common negetive affect is if you cut it and you end up short a pint of blood for about a week.

I think the guy from the video ended up in serious condition months later, either because of this or something "similar" (he does that 'suspended in the air by hooks' thing also). I never did a follow-up story.
