@mistermiguel17 Yeah it is an opportunity, unfortunately I wish I said more but I couldn't w/ limited spanish. His neice ran up to me and wanted me to participate w/ the chants by their alter or shrine for the dead. And all I could think to say is " no creo en cosas como asi" I'm not sure if I even said it right ! but she asked me something like porque no? I said porque estan muertos! LOL
@miramaeluvu05 I know it's hard because I went through it, I have relatives that believe the pope is infallable even though Scripture is clear all have sinned, even the pope; and yes praying to the dead, my family is Puerto Rican but some celebrate those days; but I think you don't have to address it unless they ask you to particpate or ask you why you don't; that can be an opportunity to share the gospel with them.
@mistermiguel17 I have to agree, I don't know how to explain it better then from people who experienced that. All I know is that my husband's family shuns people if they are not catholic like bible believing Christians. My husband's family doesn't disrespect me as a Christian at least not from what I consider to even really get under my skin. But if I talk to my husband about some rituals like praying to the dead on dia de los muertos He feels like he can't disagree w/ them even if he's not for it
@miramaeluvu05 I know how that is, I grew up Catholic and didn't learn anything about the Gospel, only about religious tradtitions and doctrines of men; confessing sins to a priest, praying to Mary, purgatory, all of these unbiblical doctrines, religion has poisoned many and fooled many into thinking they have a relationship with God.
@mistermiguel17 Yep so when other Christians start confusing other Christians about whether or not Jesus is God; I simply ask who did you ask for forgiveness from God or a man?
Ex: At some point we understand that we are accountable not just to other people but the awareness that u r accountable to God, then a slight fear of God comes over you and you feel the need to repent because there is nothing u can do, you know ur guilty. Then you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and He gives grace, & you believe the gospel of your salvation, u have the Holy Spirit that leads u in all truth so If you knew u were accountable to God then Jesus is God! That u have Grace
@miramaeluvu05 you said it right, very well said lol

@miramaeluvu05 true, when that conviction comes by the Holy Spirit it brings us to that point of repentance and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord
