I very much relate to this well told account. As a child I contemplated suicide as a way to escape the abuse. The severe brutal anguish imposed by excruciatingly painful genital surgery causes an infant or child to attempt to go so far inwards that they no longer feel. Death would be a welcome relief. This early experience coupled with further physical abuse, denial, being told how one feels does not add up to a happy childhood.

@Bonobo3D - i'm so sorry you went through this too. i think a lot of children have in the past and still do but, like us, they are not heard. we are giving voice to the children - past, present and future.
